A PRESSING NEED
On February 20th, 2022, Grace Covenant Church, based in Virginia, US, launched the Kids Bible Drive. Its purpose was to distribute 10,000 Action Bibles to children in Ghana, West Africa but God keeps expanding it to other regions. Currently, we have distributed 700 copies of the Action Bibles. Out of the 700 copies, 600 English Action Bibles have been given to children in Ghana, while the remaining 100 copies, some which were Spanish translations were distributed to local kids in Roanoke, where our church is located.
This initiative began when the Lord created an opportunity for me to minister and encourage a group of women in Ghana to prioritize teaching their children God's Word. Little did I know that their simple request of an illustrated Bible would lead to a Kids Bible Drive.
We have also been pairing the Action Bible with backpacks to address not only a spiritual need but also a physical need. To support local businesses, my pastor has encouraged the production of these backpacks in Ghana. The small local business we are currently working with have been exceptional in producing quality backpacks.
